Frisee, Cichorium crispum is a type of Endive. Frisee has narrow, green, curly outer leaves. This leafy lettuce is said to taste peppery or nutty. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, especially potassium, folate, fiber and Vitamins A, B, C and E. This leafy green is most commonly found raw in salads, but can also be cooked and added to soups, pizzas, and goes wonderfully with fish entrees.
